Naeem Zafar to speak at SEMICON West
Pyxis Technology, the DFM (design for manufacturability) routing company,
today announced that Naeem Zafar, CEO and president, will be speaking in
the DFM session at SEMICON West 2006 on 11 July.
WHAT: The Silicon Integration Initiative (Si2) and SEMI are sponsoring a
track at SEMICON West 2006 entitled "DFM: Why Care -- What is Being
Done." Zafar’s presentation, entitled "DFM: Necessitating
revolution throughout the flow" will focus on the need for designers to
become more involved with manufacturing and yield issues, since these are
strongly design dependent and are affected by how the design is laid out.
He will describe a design-driven process as well as design creation products
that have DFM in mind from the start, enabling designers to easily trade off
between design and manufacturing constraints and then help fix the
identified problems. The result is DFM-correct designs.
WHEN: 11:00am on July 11th.
WHERE: At the DFM track in the Manufacturing Productivity TechXPOT in
Esplanade Hall at SEMICON West 2006 in the Moscone Center, San Francisco.
About Pyxis
Pyxis Technology is creating software to address the problems that chip
designers and foundries face in the physical design, layout, and routing
of nanometer-scale integrated circuits (ICs) and systems on a chip (SoCs).
The company is focused on DFM routing technology based on a new software
architecture optimized for design for manufacturability, which reduces
design closure cycle time while improving overall design yield.
